Overview
The Land Property Division was established in 2005 as an affiliate department to the Office of the Minister to supervise the property of the former Ministry of Water and Electricity. A Ministerial Resolution (no. 1/745) was issued on 23-6-2016, to affiliate the Department of Land Property to the Undersecretariat of Lands and Survey.
Department News:
The Department has moved from the building of the former Ministry of Water and Electricity to MEWA headquarters on 10-1-2017.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Studying requests for allocating government-owned lands to the MEWA affiliated authorities;
• Studying requests for expropriating properties for the MEWA affiliated bodies; and
• Registering MEWA properties data and, as well as the purposes for and uses of each of those properties.
