HE Eng. Abdulrahman Al Fadley
Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture

Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadley holds a bachelor degree in Chemical Engineering from King Saud University. He was appointed as the Minister of Agriculture in  15  January  2015. In May 2016, a Royal Decree was issued to change the name of the Ministry to the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture. Thereupon, Eng. Al-Fadley became the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture.
 
For 13 years, Eng. Al-Fadley worked in petroleum industries sector before joining Almarai Co. in 1996, where he was the General Manager and Deputy CEO of Almarai main factories in Al-Kharj. Then he was appointed CEO in 2000 to 2015.

He also worked as the Chairman of the International Dairy and Juice Limited (IDJ), a joint venture between PepsiCo and Almarai. Besides, he chaired the Dairy and Food Polytechnic, that was established by Almarai in cooperation with the General Organization for Technical Education and Vocational Training (GOTEVOT) with the aim of nationalizing the dairy products industry. 

Moreover, Eng. Al-Fadley chaired the board of directors of the Modern Food Industries (MFI) (Seven Days) and United Farmers Holding Company (UFHC). In addition, he was board member of the Saudi Agricultural and Livestock Investment Company (SALIC), and member of the Engineering Board of the College of Engineering, King Saud University.
 
In his capacity as the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Al-Fadley is currently the Chairman of the Saudi Arabian Grains Organization (SAGO), Irrigation and Drainage Authority, Agricultural Development Fund, the General Authority of Meteorology and Environmental Protection, Saudi Wildlife Authority, Saline Water Conversion Corporation, National Water Company and SALIC.

The Minister has an extensive experience in operational management, as well as management of projects and investments. He is also well known for supporting corporate social responsibility projects, as he is a member in the Disabled Children’s Association (DCA), and for supporting the training of national workforce and the Saudization of jobs in different sectors. He is also engaged in activities that aim at the conservation of national resources and agricultural development.
