Today, His Excellency, the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Eng. Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen AlFadley launched an application to receive reports of environmental violations.
Deputy Minister of Environment Dr. Osama Faqeeha emphasized that the community is a crucial partner in protecting and enhancing the environment because the application encourages residents to take part in environmental protection by enabling them to monitor environmental violations and facilitating their quick reporting and raising of them through the application.
According to Dr. Faqeeha, the reports the application receives include a variety of specialized subjects, including violations of wildlife, meteorology, environmental compliance, and vegetation cover. The program uses the unified data center to gather, store, and handle reports. This is done in an effort to improve environmental governance and track registered reports with professionalism and high accuracy.
The process for reporting environmental violations includes selecting the appropriate area on a map, finding the report, classifying it, describing it, and attaching pictures, before uploading and sending the report so that the support team can refer it to the appropriate party for follow-up and resolution. The application's primary goal is to refer submitted reports to the appropriate authority within 180 seconds.
This new application is part of the Ministry's attempt to meet the strategic objectives of digital transformation and increase the proportion of electronic services offered to residents in line with Vision 2030's ambitions.
