• Providing the best veterinary services for workers in animal husbandry;
• Supporting investments in the animal resources field inside and outside the Kingdom;
• Controlling endemic animal diseases in the Kingdom;
• Establishing a center for preserving and distinguishing local breeds;
• Establishing centers for veterinary vaccines production in the Kingdom;
• Establishing a central laboratory for diagnosis of animal diseases Kingdom-wide;
• Studying the current status of the traditional animal resources sector and drawing up a long-term plan for increasing productivity and sustaining growth;
• Encouraging use of compound fodders for optimum nutrition for animals; and
• Coordinating with other competent authorities to curb wasting water related to animal resources projects;
