MEWA Lifts Ban on the Import of Hatching Eggs and Chicks from India

The Ministry of Environment, Water, and Agriculture has lifted the ban imposed on importing hatching eggs and chicks from India.

The General Director of the Department of Animal Risk Assessment, Dr. Sanad AlHarbi, said that the decision to lift the import ban was made after monitoring the situation of global animal health and the follow-up reports notified by the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) on highly pathogenic avian influenza virus which revealed that no new cases have been recorded in India in the past three months.
