During the meeting discussions focused on enhancing cooperation in the agriculture, fisheries, and food security sectors. They explored potential investment opportunities and ways to enhance collaboration through the exchange of expertise and knowledge. A particular focus was on promoting innovation and adopting modern technologies to increase the efficiency of agricultural production. Private sector representatives were also involved in the meeting.
Bilateral relations between Saudi Arabia and Uruguay have progressed across various sectors. In August, the first meeting of the Saudi-Uruguayan Joint Committee took place in Montevideo.
