The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture won the Digital Government Award for Best Adoption of Artificial Intelligence Applications on the "Water Sustainability Platform" at the Digital Government Forum 2025. The Ministry was selected as one of only four government entities to win first place, competing against more than 135 participating organizations.

His Excellency the Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, Engineer Mansour bin Hilal Al-Mashiti, received the award, in the presence of the Undersecretary for Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Dr. Abdulhameed bin Abdullah Al-Alawi, during the opening of the fourth edition of the Digital Government Forum 2025, organized by the Digital Government Authority on November 5-6 in Riyadh.

The Ministry achieved this exceptional accomplishment by excelling in digital transformation and artificial intelligence applications, enhancing performance efficiency, improving user experience, and strengthening its leadership in international indicators. This was accomplished by showcasing best national and international practices that have had a tangible impact on the quality of services provided by the Ministry's digital platforms.

The Deputy Minister for Information Technology and Digital Transformation explained that this award is a culmination of the Ministry's efforts in developing and implementing artificial intelligence solutions within its digital transformation initiatives. This contributes to enhancing the efficiency of environmental, water, and agricultural services, promoting sustainability, and supporting decision-making through big data analytics and intelligent predictive models. He emphasized that the award reflects the strong support the Ministry receives from its leadership and affirmed the Ministry's commitment to developing its digital infrastructure to contribute to achieving the goals of Vision 2030.

The forum will feature dialogue sessions and specialized workshops on digital transformation and artificial intelligence, in addition to the launch of new digital products and services, the announcement of the winners of the Digital Government Award, the recognition of entities that have received accreditation for the National Enterprise Architecture, and the selection of participants in the Innovation Challenge Accelerator. The results of the digital transformation measurement and the website and digital content efficiency index will also be announced.
