Saudi Arabia will launch the inaugural Saudi Water Week tomorrow, organized by the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture, reaffirming the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening its regional and global leadership in the water sector while advancing innovative and sustainable solutions to address global water challenges.
Saudi Water Week will be held from 28 June to 2 July 2026, serving as a leading national and international platform that brings together policymakers, experts, researchers, private sector leaders, and water stakeholders from around the world. The event aims to enhance water security, promote the sustainable management of water resources, and foster innovation and scientific research across the sector.
The event will feature a comprehensive programme of specialized activities, including the Arab Water Forum and the Second Stakeholders' Consultation Meeting for the 11th World Water Forum 2027, alongside more than 97 panel discussions, dialogue sessions, and specialized workshops. The programme will showcase the latest technologies, best practices, and innovative solutions, while highlighting the Kingdom's achievements in the water sector and the experiences of national entities across the water ecosystem.
Saudi Water Week represents a key milestone in the Kingdom's preparations to host the 11th World Water Forum in Riyadh in 2027, the world's largest international event dedicated to water. The Second Stakeholders' Consultation Meeting, to be held as part of the event, will play a pivotal role in advancing preparations for the Forum and shaping its agenda, reflecting growing international confidence in Saudi Arabia's leadership and its ability to foster international cooperation toward a more sustainable water future.
The event will also witness the signing of several cooperation agreements and memoranda of understanding between entities across the Ministry's ecosystem and local and international partners. The agreements aim to strengthen collaboration, facilitate knowledge exchange, and promote investment and innovation in the water sector.
