Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture His Excellency Eng. Abdulrahman Alfadley today inaugurated the 5th edition of the Middle East Poultry Expo 2026 at the Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center, bringing together government entities, private-sector representatives, investors, and poultry industry specialists, with more than 400 exhibiting companies and organizations from 45 countries.
During the opening ceremony, His Excellency witnessed the signing of 27 agreements with a total investment value of SAR 2.574.641.300 billion, aimed at developing the poultry sector, enhancing production efficiency, strengthening supply chains, and expanding investment partnerships to support food security in Saudi Arabia.
The Minister toured the expo, reviewing the latest technologies and solutions in poultry breeding and production, feed manufacturing, animal health, processing, and packaging, and their role in improving product quality and production efficiency.
He also honored the winners of the Excellence Award, presented for the first time in the poultry sector across several categories, including the Lifetime Achievement Award (Pioneers), Leadership in Biosecurity for Safe Poultry Industry, Excellence in Social Responsibility and Cooperative Work, Production and Manufacturing Excellence, and Impactful International Partner in the Poultry Industry.
Through MEWA's participation, it showcases its initiatives and efforts to develop the poultry sector, empower producers and investors, promote modern technologies and sustainable practices, and highlight services and programs supporting the sector's growth.
The expo features specialized pavilions bringing together companies and organizations across the poultry value chain. It provides visitors with opportunities to explore products, technologies, and services; connect with local and international solution providers and experts; and explore cooperation, investment, and partnership opportunities.
As an international platform, it connects investors, producers, suppliers, experts, and global companies under one roof, linking international businesses with the Saudi and regional markets and providing opportunities to explore sector developments, market needs, and investment and commercial opportunities.
The 5th edition comes amid continued growth and development in Saudi Arabia's poultry sector, driven by the unwavering support of the wise leadership and MEWA's efforts, in cooperation with the private sector, to boost investment, enhance production efficiency, and develop supply chains, contributing to food security and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
