The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the National Committee for the Care of Prisoners and their Families, and Ex-convicts (Tarahum). The MoU aims to strengthen cooperation in implementing programs and awareness initiatives that empower the Committee's beneficiaries, enhance their capabilities in agricultural fields, support sustainable development, and improve the quality of life of their.
The agreement will enhance opportunities for cooperation between the two parties by designing and implementing specialized training programs for Trahum beneficiaries. These programs seek to strengthen their skills in sustainable agriculture and enable them to acquire knowledge and expertise that contribute to the creation of suitable economic and development opportunities.
The areas of cooperation also include developing programs to the beneficiaries' families to support their engagement in agricultural activities, as well as providing appropriate opportunities for participation in events and exhibitions organized by MEWA.
Furthermore, the MoU seeks to promote social responsibility and develop sustainable initiatives that empower beneficiary families. It also includes regular surveys to assess beneficiaries' agricultural needs, supporting national development goals and the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
