The Digital Government Authority honored the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) for achieving an advanced level in the Digital Experience Maturity Index 2026, ranking among the top 10 digital platforms. The achievement highlights the Ministry's progress in advancing its digital services and enhancing the overall beneficiary experience through more accessible, efficient, and reliable service delivery, in line with Saudi Vision 2030.
The recognition took place during LEAP 2026, held from August 31 to September 3, 2026, at the Riyadh Exhibition and Convention Center. The event brings together broad local and international participation, driving significant technological momentum and reflecting the growth of Saudi Arabia's digital economy.
MEWA ranked 9th in the Digital Experience Maturity Index. The recognition was received by Deputy Minister for Information Technology and Digital Transformation, Dr. Abdulhameed Aleliwi, in the presence of His Excellency the Governor of the Digital Government Authority, Eng. Ahmed Alsuwaiyan.
The index evaluated 59 digital platforms across four key perspectives: beneficiary satisfaction, user experience, complaint handling, and technologies and tools. The assessment aims to enhance digital services and improve the beneficiary experience.
Dr.Aleliwi stated that the achievement reflects the Ministry's continued efforts to develop its digital services and platforms, focusing on improving the beneficiary journey, developing digital services, and adopting modern solutions and technologies to provide more efficient and accessible services.
The 2026 Digital Experience Maturity Index placed the digital experience at an advanced level, following an assessment of 59 digital platforms across four key perspectives and 20 themes. More than 800,000 beneficiaries contributed their feedback to the evaluation of the platforms and digital services.
