Under the patronage of Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour Almushaiti, the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Reef National Foundation to enhance employees' capabilities and skills and facilitate knowledge transfer, supporting rural and development programs and improving the efficiency of services provided to beneficiaries.
The MoU was signed by Eng. Majid Alkhlaif, Deputy of the Ministry for Beneficiary Services and Branch Affairs, and Thamer Albqmi, Chief Executive Officer of Reef National Foundation.
The agreement aims to strengthen cooperation and coordination between the two parties, supporting beneficiaries of rural and development programs, and improving the quality of services. It also provides a framework for exchanging expertise and information and implementing joint initiatives and programs that contribute to sustainable rural development.
Under the MoU, the two parties will cooperate in organizing events with economic and developmental value and maximizing the use of agricultural land and movable assets allocated to the Ministry to support small-scale farmers in agricultural activities. The initiative seeks to diversify the productive base, contribute to national food security goals, and advance the Ministry's programs and initiatives in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The signing of the MoU is part of the Ministry's ongoing efforts to promote sustainable rural development, strengthen collaboration between government entities and the nonprofit sector, and support development programs related to the agricultural and rural sectors.
