The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture will launch the inaugural Saudi Water Week from June 28 to July 2, 2026, building on the legacy of previous editions of the Saudi Water Forum as the Kingdom steps up efforts to strengthen water security and promote sustainable water management.
The event, which will be hosted in Jeddah, is expected to serve as a specialized national and international platform that brings together policymakers, experts, researchers, private-sector leaders, and stakeholders from Saudi Arabia and abroad.
According to the ministry, Saudi Water Week will feature a wide range of specialized events, including the Arab Water Forum and the Second Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for the 11th World Water Forum. The program will also include more than 97 panel discussions, technical workshops, and detailed presentations highlighting achievements in Saudi Arabia's water sector and other national industries.
The ministry said the event reflects the Kingdom's growing leadership role in advancing water systems at the local, regional and global levels. Saudi Water Forum aims to encourage knowledge exchange, address shared challenges and showcase practical solutions and advanced technologies, while also supporting strategic partnerships and investment opportunities in the water sector in line with Saudi Vision 2030 goals.
Saudi Water Week is expected to draw broad regional and international attention because of its strategic focus on water sustainability and its role in supporting economic development and quality of life.
The Second Stakeholder Consultation Meeting for the 11th World Water Forum, which will take place during Saudi Water Week, is viewed as a key milestone in preparations for the global event, underscoring Saudi Arabia's growing international role in tackling water-related challenges and advancing global cooperation in the sector.
The 11th World Water Forum, set to be held in Riyadh in 2027, is considered the world's largest event focused on water issues, bringing together governments, international organizations and leading experts from around the globe.
