Bilateral Agreements | Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture

The Ministry has concluded 73 bilateral agreements directly with brotherly and friendly countries worldwide. These agreements aim to achieve the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 and to develop the Ministry's sectors of work through the following strategic pillars:

Transfer and Localization of Advanced Technologies & Capacity Development:

Attracting and transferring leading global technologies and innovations in sustainable water management, modern dam technologies, and smart irrigation systems to improve consumption efficiency, alongside developing production capabilities and building the skills of national personnel across all areas of the Ministry's work.
Strengthening Food Security and Economic Cooperation:

Establishing logistical partnerships to secure and sustain the Kingdom's strategic supply chains, and enhancing economic cooperation to implement joint investment projects in the agricultural, livestock, and fisheries sectors, supported by the exchange of information and field expertise between partner countries.
Environmental Sustainability and Joint Research:

Developing direct technical partnerships to protect natural biodiversity, enhance vegetation cover, and combat desertification, with a strong focus on conducting joint scientific studies and research, as well as exchanging data to improve meteorological efficiency and environmental compliance monitoring.
