First: International Coordination Councils (20 Councils)
The Ministry is responsible for decision-making and strategic policy formulation within international coordination councils at the following levels:
- Council Chairmanship (5 Councils): This includes the Saudi-Emirati, Saudi-Iraqi, Saudi-Algerian, Saudi-French, and Saudi-Indonesian Coordination Councils.
- Council Membership (15 Councils): The Ministry actively participates in 15 regional and international coordination councils to advance cooperation.
Second: Joint Committees (55 Committees)
As part of its leadership role, the Ministry contributes to 55 joint committees, distributed across chairmanship and membership levels as follows:
Committees Chaired by the Ministry (14 Committees):
o 8 committees are chaired by His Excellency the Minister.
o 6 committees are chaired by the Deputy Ministers.
- Committees with Ministry Membership (41 Committees):
The Ministry actively participates as a member in joint international committees chaired by other national government entities.
Third: Geographical Reach of Joint Committees
The joint international committees in which the Ministry participates or which it chairs span several regions, including:
- Africa: Joint committees with Nigeria, Benin, Ethiopia, Mozambique, Sudan, Niger, and Zambia.
- Asia and Europe: Joint committees with Albania, Kyrgyzstan, and Ukraine.
- Latin America: Joint committees with Argentina and Uruguay.
- Oceania: The Saudi-Australian Joint Committee and the Saudi-New Zealand Joint Committee.
