Through its departments, the Undersecretariat develops the strategy, key performance indicators (KPIs), organizational structures and procedural guides, besides managing statistical activities and economic studies. It also helps in drawing up legislations and regulations, and managing privatization and investment activities for all sectors, as well as managing IT activities. The Undersecretariat is also responsible for promoting efficiency and improving performance through optimal use of institutional and technological resources. It also shoulders the responsibility for defining marketing services criteria and promoting the role of cooperatives in all fields, in coordination with the competent authorities and technical sectors to facilitate and standardize work. The Undersecretariat also joins hands with the regulatory bodies in the Ministry to monitor enforcement the resolutions and instructions, and provide the needed support for different organizational units to efficiently meet requirements in order to attain the strategic objectives of the Ministry.
